The name "Beyerdynamic" and the word "comfort" are synonymous. Yes, that's right. All Beyerdynamic headphones feel soft and plush. And, we did not feel different about the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro Headphones.
The headphones with a circumaural design comprise a flexible headband with soft padding and mushy ear pads for a comfort-filled listening experience. The ear cups are large. The ear pads feel velvety and plush. We did not experience any sweating issues as we tested the headphones during the colder months; however, you may experience heating issues in summers. The headband that connects both the ear cups is mostly spring steel and the ear cups are made of plastic. Nevertheless, the plastic is sturdy and premium-quality.
Overall, the clamping force is neither too weak nor too strong. It's just perfect and won't give you a headache if you use the headphones for several hours at a stretch, especially when mixing, mastering or recording in the studio.
The Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro Headphones come in two different colors. One is the full black version that comprises a black body and black ear cups. The soundstage is wide and the instrumental separation is great. Therefore, Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro is good for gaming, studio recording, and casual use. In simpler words, if you want clear and beautifully transcending highs, and decent lows, you should definitely buy these headphones.

Both the 3.5 mm jack and ¼" adapter are gold-plated. As already mentioned above, the headphones comprise a one-sided cable for convenience. You can use one hand to wear or remove the headphones. However, the cable is fixed inside the headphones and you cannot remove it.
